How a Family Reunion Should Be Planned
First, choose a date that is comfortable for the greatest number of relatives. This may need to be around a Holiday, such as Memorial Day or the Fourth of July. No date is perfect for everyone, so choose the one that the greatest number of people can attend.Next, choose the place where the reunion will be held, a place full of fun activities for both young and old for the entire week-end. For instance, is there a park, playground or zoo where one day's activities can be situated around or near? Have plenty of food. Choose different themes for different days such as "Fun in the sun" day, or "Beach Bum Day."Plan what is to be done each day. Call the city government and get permits -parking permits and picnic permits. Although you may plan for each day, don't schedule every moment. Leave get - acquaintance time, where people can introduce themselves and talk about what they do. Have games for both adults and children to play, and always plenty of food, food, food. One big favorite is t-shirts. Collect money ahead of time, along with shirt sizes, and have t-shirts made, "Jones Family Reunion," or "Williams Family Reunion."Arrange boat rides or horseback riding, volleyball games, softball and dancing.During our last family reunion, we had so much fun. We rented the Mystic Blue cruise ship, we had lunch and the entertainment was dancing and playing games. For the evening, we dressed formal, had a dinner with drinks and the entertainment was singing and dancing by a group called "The Little People." Such a good time was held by all that we can't wait for the next one!
